Hey you know what? I’m so exciting telling you this story of mine. Because it’s a wonderful and amazing experience for me. It doesn’t mean that it’s first time for me to go to concert but it’s because Roxette is the singers!!!

I am a big fan of Roxette. I’ve been listening to their songs since high school, and favorite most of their songs. It reminds me of my relationship with some of my friends in high school and also in work. So what interesting was, when I flashed back I realized that I gave album of Roxette to 2 of my closest friends. And they are boys. And Bule. Well, first one was my friend in Kalimantan. I met him in English Course, I took english lessons there and he was the guest at that time, then it was how we started we become friends. His name is Stefan Boller, from Switzerland. So he had been in Kalimantan for a year for as student exhange. We had good moments having some games and chats. So when he came to my house, I lent him a Roxette Cassette ( no mp3 that time :D). So when his study time dismissed, he wanted to return the cassette to me. He said that he so much enjoyed the cassette that I lent him. And I said to him, pls take it for you as a gift from me. He was surprised and asked many times, if I was sure enough to give him that cassette since he knew that I love Roxette’s too :). So yes, of course I was serious gave him the cassette :P. So after leaving Indonesia, Stefan and I sent letters each other for few months. Then when internet become popular, we stop sending letters, but done some email thing. But it was very rare because he wasn’t so much into internet, and me is the opposite :D

Second one was, my co-worker in Balikpapan, Kalimantan. His name is Shaun Godley, from Australia. He’s very funny, and I liked him a lot. So one time in the office, he listened that I played Roxette’s songs, and he said that he loved Roxette, too. So indeed, we have same favorite song, it is “Fading like a flower” and we sang it together in the office!!! Very cute to remember that, while others, our other co-workers saw us with weird look, Lol. So when he went back to his country, my friends gave some special gifts to him as a memorial thing. So when it turned to me, I said to him, Hey, I can’t give you any special like theirs, but I want you to have this. So I gave him the latest Album of Roxette. And guess what? He can’t ever imagine to have his own Roxette song. And I just gave it to him. He said to me, Oh my God, is this for me? If you give this to me, then you won’t have one anymore. Then I said, hey no worries, I’ll buy a new one for me :P. So he was really really happy.

Well I don’t plan to give another Roxette Album perhaps to another bule guy. Lol. It just happened.

So when I knew that Roxette would hold concert in Jakarta, I definitely was very happy! I didn’t buy the ticket online as they offered, but I preferred to buy it in the venue from calo (the guys who sell the ticket outside the official one) as I could bargain and get the cheaper ticket. And yes, I had good price for festival ticket :)

So actually I was well prepared enough. I brought a DSLR camera with the tele lens (which I borrowed :D), but unfortunately, the crew didn’t let anyone to bring DSLR during the concert. I was disappointed about it. So I took the photos and recorded some songs just from my phone. Thank God, the battery went empty just after the concert finished. I was blessed :)

Roxette sang for 16 songs. Really enjoyed so much their performance, even though as we know Marie Frediksson has just recovered from cancer, but she did great performance on the stage. They opened the concert with “Dressed for Success”. And it was so nicee!

My favorite was “Fading Like Flower” and surely the most favorite by all audience was, “It Must Have Been Love”.

The place is full of crowd. I can’t tell anymore. I just so much enjoyed it. I love them. I can sense their passion in music until their age now. What I can learn from them is, to do the best in everything I passion of so I can reach the top success like them. They are so awesome!
